Display Techniques cont.....
A: Make sure your statue is visible and unobscured
by anything around it. Your can buy display blocks or makeshift
ones out from wall shelf blocks (made to attach to walls).
They don't use these in display cases 'cause it's the law....
It's because it make stuff look more expensive and cool !
( Any large Framing or Arts & Crafts store should carry these. )
B: Sometimes it's nice to add something themed to
the character in the case. Depending on who it is.....
The example of a $5.95 rope from Home Depot gives you
the impression someone at the DC Gift Production
missed a dimension of this prop's capabilities
and money making potential.
C: Cheap accessories like Glass Beads can help add color
to the surrounding ground. They look great in glass bottom cases too!
Often can be purchase at the same types of store for 3-5 bucks a bag!
D: Sometimes a Backdrop is nice! It works for animation CELS...right?
How about a Plate, Color picture, a hanging Cloth/Fabric which
are many versions of something to add to the dimensions of your display.
Always great to hear new display techniques,
please submit your idea to share with the world on
if you have something simple to add to a display
THAT IMPROVES IT VISUALLY.
