Layout Drawing: In animation, a layout drawing bridges the gap between storyboards and final animation by detailing the placement of characters, objects, and camera movement within a scene. It's essentially a more detailed, cleaned-up version of the storyboard, defining perspective, composition, and the stage for action.

In the cartoon series "Hong Kong Phooey", the alter ego of the main character is Penrod Pooch, also known as Penry. He is a dog who works as a janitor at the police station and transforms into the superhero Hong Kong Phooey to fight crime. Penry uses a filing cabinet as his "phone booth" to change into his superhero form.
