There's only one Marvin The Martian or IS there? This delightful hand-painted limited edition cel features a recumbent Marvin The Martian imagining himself as six sci-fi "personas," all from the mind (and hand!) of Warner Bros. artist Dan Haskett, the talented artist who has brought forth illustrious character illustrations for such cel images as "Taz The Man," "We Are The Tunes" and "Bugs Persona." The artwork for the series of Marvin The Martians in this limited edition cel is driven by the artist's style and vision of the essence of the inimitable Marvin The Martian.
This limited edition cel began with artist Dan Haskett developing multiple "tight pencil" character drawings for the image. A master inking of each drawing was then made by Laurie Dindis, which was then silkscreened onto an acetate sheet (or "cel") along with the Warner Bros. seal. Each cel was then expertly hand-painted on the reverse side. An original background was painted by Warner Bros. artist Hector Martinez, and reproduced using the lithography process on acid-free paper. The edition number was hand-inked on each cel in a special edition size of only 350 pieces. In the final step of production, Dan Haskett approved each cel with his signature. Upon completion of the edition, the original drawings, master inking and original background were archived.
