Chuck Jones' latest limited edition features one of the Wild West's most wanted, Nasty Canasta, rustler; bandit; square-dance caller and all-around bad egg. Nasty has Daffy Duck over a barrel (the barrel of his six-shooter!) in a scene inspired by two Merrie Melodies productions, "Drip-Along Daffy" (1951) and "My Little Duckaroo" (1954), in which Mr. Jones teamed up with story editor Mike Maltese to bring this scruffy scoundrel to life.
This cel was created from original hand-inked drawing by Chuck Jones, and produced in an edition size of 500. The master line image was serigraph screenprinted onto a clear acetate sheet (or "cel") and expertly hand-painted on the reverse side. The background design and production were supervised and produced by the artist, and was lithographically reproduced. In the final step of production, Mr. Jones individually approved each cel with his signature.
