John Cena and Will Forte in ‘Coyote vs. Acme’
Chris DeFaria and James Gunn are producing the live-action/CG animation hybrid feature.
The hybrid live-action/CG animation movie is created by Chris DeFaria and James Gunn.
Will Forte has agreed to play the role of Looney Tunes Wile E. And John Cena's opponent. Coyote in the Warner Bros. Live-action/CG animation hybrid film Coyote vs. Acme.
The film is being directed by Dave Green, who also oversaw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and Earth to Echo.
What's Up, Doc?
In order to defeat his archenemy and potential meal, the Road Runner, as seen in the classic cartoons, the infamously helpless dog takes center stage in the story and sues the Acme Corporation for the devices he has received from them over the years that aren't quite in working order.
A down-on-his-luck (human) lawyer who battles Wile E. Coyote is the subject of the motion picture. He names Acme as a client in his lawsuit, only to learn that Acme is being represented by his former law firm's boss.
With Cena portraying his fearsome former employer, Forte will play the legal eagle.
The script's most recent draft was written by screenwriter Samy Burch and is based on the humorous "Coyote v. Ian Frazier's 1990 book "Acme" was published.
The film, which will start filming in New Mexico early 2023, is being produced by Chris DeFaria and James Gunn.
Throughout his ten-year tenure on Saturday Night Live, Forte became well-known. More recently, he appeared in the Fox comedy The Last Man on Earth, for which he received three Emmy nominations (two for acting and one for writing), in addition to numerous voice over roles in movies and television shows. For the same-named Peacock series that debuted in December, he reprized his most well-known character, MacGruber.
Release date in scheduled for 2024.
